Wandering in the wilderness意為人生中經歷大的困難和磨練。

來源及應用

以色列人花了四十年才從埃及漂泊到了應許之地。當中，由于上帝不斷的供應，他們“衣服沒有穿破，腳也沒有腫”（申命記8：4）：餓了，大量的食物從天而降；渴了，甘露從堅硬的巖石中流出來。上帝令人學會依靠著他的供應，謹守著他的誡命，才把他們從曠野中解放出來。
