Promised land (Hebrews 11:9)

”By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise.”(Hebrews 11:9)

meaning

Today, “promised land” can be generalized to mean any place blessed with plenty of resources. It can be interchangeably used with “land flowing with milk and honey”.

origin and application

Abraham is known as the father of faith. Because of his faith in God, God blessed him with riches, children, and a land from the river of Egypt to the Euphrates river, i.e. the modern-day Israel.
