A fly in the ointment（一只膏油里的蒼蠅）這習語是一個隱喻。當有一只蒼蠅飛進一瓶香水里，它就會破壞了香水那怡人的香味了。即是俗語所謂一顆老鼠屎壞了一鍋粥的意思。
