Bible Verse

Matthew 4:18

Meaning

It originated from the Greek name Ανδρεας (Andreas), meaning “man”. In the New Testament, Andrew was the brother of Simon Peter. Together they used to be fishermen and later became the first disciples of Jesus who promised to make them fishers of men. Andrew was said to be martyred by being crucified on an X-shaped cross.
