Bible Verse

2 Timothy 4:14 / Mark 15:21

Meaning

It was derived from the Greek name “Alexandros”, meaning “defending men”. It belongs to several characters in the New Testament, such as the metalwork in 2 Timothy (2 Timothy 4:14) and the son of the man who helped Jesus bear the cross on the way to the crucifixion in the Book of Mark (Mark (15:21). The most famous bearer in history is Alexander the Great, King of Macedon in the 4th century BC whose huge empire included Greece, Egypt, Persia, and parts of India.
