origin and application

One bone one flesh symbolizes unity. When woman was created from the rib of Adam, Adam said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.” A man leaves his parents to unite with his wife who was taken out of him, and the two becomes one (Genesis 2:24).
