bible verse

2 Samuel 5:14

meaning

It came from the Hebrew name שְׁלֹמֹה (Shelomoh) which stemmed from the Hebrew word שָׁלוֹם (shalom) meaning “peace”. Solomon was King David’s son and succeeded his throne to be the king of Israel. He was well-known for his wisdom, wealth, power and writings. The Book of Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and the Song of Solomon in the Old Testament were believed to be written by him. However, he ultimately sinned and turned away from God, causing God’s anger and punishment by tearing his kingdom into two during his son’s time.
