meaning

It stemmed from the Greek name Φιλιππος (Philippos), meaning “lover of horses”. Biblically, he was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ and introduced Nathanael to Jesus. Like Andrew and Peter, Philip was from the town of Bethsaida.
