Bible Verse

John 20:27

Meaning

It is the Greek form of the Aramaic name Te’oma, meaning “twin”. According to the New Testament, Thomas was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus who asked to see the proof of Jesus’ resurrection. So, Jesus told him to put his finger and hand on his wounds, stop doubting and believe. Then Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not see and yet have believed.” (The Gospel of John, 20:29)
